How To Create Moving Stickers From Your Photos On IOS 17

Among the new features of iOS and iPadOS 17, Apple now allows us to create our own interactive stickers – also called stickers – for iMessage. These are based on Live Photos that we took with our iPhone or iPad. We’ll explain how to do it.

While it’s been a while since iPhone owners have had the ability to add stickers to their iMessage conversations, the Cupertino company has decided to take this to another level.

In fact, we can now create our stickers or “stickers” personalized with our own Live Photos!

How to turn a photo into stickers on iPhone?

Contrary to what you might believe, creating your own live stickers is really easy. In fact, everything is automated by iOS 17. You just need to know where to go!

You can either go directly via iMessage or via our photo gallery. To create them via iMessage you must:

Open the Messages app and start a conversation.

Click on the + to the left of the writing field and then select sticker.

Click on the 2nd icon from the left and then on News ticker.

Browse the gallery, select one of the photos and then press Add a sticker.

After the new live sticker is created, you can send it to your contacts via message.

Each of the stickers created will be automatically saved in the same location. To clean them, press and hold them. You then have the option to delete them or change their order.

You can also create live stickers directly from our photo gallery. To do this we must:

Open the Photos app and click on the “Album” section at the bottom.

Below Media typechoose Live Photos.

Select the image you like, then long-press your finger on the subject.

When it is highlighted, tap it lightly and then select Add a sticker.

After this step, the sticker can be found in iMessage in the “Live Stickers” section described previously.

How to add effects to live stickers

All live stickers we create can be modified using effects.

It’s very simple, you just have to long press on the sticker you want to change and then press Add an effect.

We have the choice between 4 effects, contour, BD, embossed and glossy.
