Creating a logo online is easy… but think carefully about the message you want to convey!

Creating a logo from a template provided by Canva takes 5 minutes. But don’t jump to the first logo that comes to mind, take your time to think!
Step 0 – Access your account or create a new account with Canva
Canva is a very easy-to-use free graphic design tool with many logo templates to customize and customize.
To create your logo, log into your Canva account, as creating a logo is possible without registering.
The paid version (around $100/year) offers more designs to customize, images to download… but the free version is usually enough to create simple and impactful logos.

Step 1: Choose the model of your logo:
Go to Design and select “Logo”
Or you can see a list of different designs you can create on Canva in the search bar at the top of your screen. Click More.
At the very bottom you have a drop down menu. Scroll down to Logo.
If you want to move faster and already have more specific ideas that better suit your business, type “logo + product” into the search engine.

Click on the model you want to use and customize. You can also filter your model search according to your field of activity.
Step 2: Customize your design
When creating your logo, you can add images and text.
Canva has an extensive library of millions of images, but you can also upload your own.
To select an image from the Canva library, go to the left menu, click “Photo” and search for your image using a relevant keyword.
Once you’ve found it, all you have to do is click on it to insert it into your logo.
If you have an image on your computer, select “Import” and then “Import Files” to access that file.
Select the image and upload it to your template by clicking “Open”. Once it’s uploaded, add it to your design page by clicking on it.
To add text to your credits, just click Text and choose a template.
The text will automatically appear on your design page and you can then edit it to your liking.
To change the font, color and size of the text, go to the top left of your design page.
Then customize your design by changing their position, size and color.

Upload your custom logo
After you’ve completed your logo, it’s time to incorporate it into all of your branded content.
You can save it in different formats: JPG, PNG or PDF.

What are the limitations of creating a logo with Canva?
Canva is a fast, free way to create logos from templates that you can customize. and that is also the main problem.
The logo created is professional but not a bespoke and original creation.

To avoid too common logo, it is better to use paid logos (1€/logo), which is a small effort but allows you to have a more original and elaborate logo.
The second limitation of creating a logo online with Canva is that free logos are sometimes less easy to design.
So you either have to pay for the logo (usually between €1 and a maximum of €5/logo) or switch to the paid version of Canva (around €120/year):
