Outspoken radio host Howard Stern slammed MSNBC for “going berserk” over the possible indictment and arrest of former President Donald Trump.
On Wednesday’s episode of “The Howard Stern Show,” the SirusXM shock jock appeared frustrated by the excessive coverage from MSNBC and other media outlets of Trump’s potential indictment of $130,000 in hush money he paid porn actress Stormy Daniels in 2016.
It is unclear whether Trump will be charged at all.
“I was watching MSNBC, they were freaking berserk because Trump might get arrested,” Stern said, according to Fox News.
“These charges,” his longtime co-host Robin Quivers chimed in.
“‘Oh dear God.’ It’s the same discussion over and over again,” Stern said. “They say, ‘It’s very possible that President Trump will be impeached under…’
Stern continued, laughing, “And then they all come on the airwaves and they’re all arguing about whether or not Trump will be impeached. I say, ‘You know, why don’t you just sit and wait instead of speculating?’”
Quivers, herself a former news reporter before working with Stern in 1981, also blasted the media for her reporting.
“That’s right, you don’t have to speculate. See, that’s my problem with these news shows. They treat politics like sports. With something like the Super Bowl coming up, you have two weeks to discuss what’s going to happen in the Super Bowl,” she said.
Stern said the overkill was a result of the 24-hour news channels trying to fill all airtime.
Trump announced he would be arrested on Tuesday, but was reportedly not told if he would be charged. Portal
He also pointed the finger at Trump for angering the networks after announcing over the weekend he would be arrested on Tuesday – which never happened – and urged his supporters to protest.
“You know it’s crazy, what I love is that everyone’s talking about Trump, Trump, Trump, and yesterday was the day he was supposed to be arrested, but Trump is the one who said he should be arrested would, and they all believe him that he would be arrested,” Stern said.
Quivers agreed, saying: “He’s been rounding up the news again. I said, ‘I think people are happy because he’s back and telling them what stories to cover.'”
“Yeah, he doesn’t know what’s going on,” Stern replied.

On Wednesday, the Manhattan grand jury hearing evidence against the former president did not reconvene as scheduled, court officials told the Post.
The afternoon session was unexpectedly canceled by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg because an unidentified witness could not appear, sources said.
Panel members have been told to stay home and be on call for Thursday as it is unclear if the witness will be available.
The move delays what may be an unprecedented indictment against the 45th President in connection with paying Daniels $130,000.
