Huawei Nova 12 Lite is a new mid-range smartphone with Snapdragon – notebookcheck.biz

The next successor to the Nova 11 SE is the 12 Lite (or “Active Edition”). Despite its status as a budget option, it features the same 6.7-inch 120Hz FHD+ OLED display with “rounded corners” as the vanilla 12.

While the 12 upgrades to the latest version of the Nova camera, the Lite version is left with a “Star Orbit Ring” design most reminiscent of the 11 Pro, but with the updated and very distinctive glass back panels of the 12 Series.

Although the 12 Lite appears to have a triple camera setup, Huawei only mentions two in this context: a 50-megapixel “super-sensing” main camera and an 8-megapixel lens with ultra-wide-angle and macro functions. However, the set supports 8K recording and 10x digital zoom.

The Lite benefits from the same 60MP selfie camera as the 12, 12 Pro and 12 Ultra, although there's no dual-screen punch-hole pill. On the other hand, it's also the only new Nova with a named processor on its specs page.

Admittedly, the Snapdragon 778G 4G processor isn't anything particularly new or special (it can't even send satellite messages, after all) – although it could help spread the 12 Lite's near-premium appeal to regions outside of China.

At 2,499 yuan (~$350) for a base model with 256GB of internal storage or 2,799 yuan (~$392) for a 512GB SKU with an undisclosed amount of RAM, this 12 Lite is in In both cases, a base model with 256 GB If the internal storage is large in both cases, this prospect may not translate very well to the global market.
