The Wolverine is back as Hugh Jackman goes back to the gym to once again show off the beloved X-Men character’s muscular physique. It has now been confirmed that Jackman will be taking on the role of Wolverine in the upcoming series dead pool 3an announcement that came as a huge surprise to Marvel fans, as the actor now takes to Instagram to share a picture and role of himself getting iron pumped in preparation.

While the actor has been praised for his performance, Jackman has since revealed he only had a few weeks to prepare. As such, his physique is far less impressive than he would eventually become. Jackman has since played the role multiple times, each time working hard to bring the Marvel superhero to life in live action, with the actor often topping lists of his greatest physical transformations.

Jackman clearly wants to continue that legacy, with the 53-year-old actor showing off his efforts on social media with a role that appears alongside the caption, “And So It Begins.”

A video that “broke the internet”, as the saying goes. Since then, both Reynolds and Jackman have appeared together to answer questions about how Wolverine will return and if that will affect his perfect finale in Logan 2017.
“You have questions,” Reynolds begins. “Yes. I had a lot of questions,” Jackman adds. “But rest assured, we’ll answer them in a moment.”
“For example, according to Logan, how does Wolverine live?” Jackman continues. “Logan is set in 2029. A completely different thing. Logan died in Logan. Don’t touch,” says Reynolds, with an assurance that Logan fans no doubt sighed with relief.
After hinting at what’s to come (you don’t actually hear anything as Wham’s light-hearted 1984 hit Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go sets in for a big Deadpool-style troll move), the two actors act out a battle between them Deadpool and Wolverine. “Thank you Kevin Feige,” Reynolds concludes, and Jackman adds, “I love you Kevin Feige. Thank you MCU.”

Deadpool 3 is expected to follow Wolverine & Deadpool on a road trip
20th century studiosWhile the plot of Deadpool 3 is currently unconfirmed, it’s looking increasingly likely that the threequel will follow Wolverine and Deadpool embarking on a road trip. Something Ryan Reynolds apparently revealed last year.
Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld has since revealed that’s also what he’s heard when the two team up in 2024. “Bing Crosby/Bob Hope, Road Pictures said. “Or maybe it’s more like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The Sundance Kid was more serious and Butch Cassidy was more of a backstabber. And maybe it’s more like Lethal Weapon and it’s Danny Glover and Mel Gibson. But somewhere in between those models.” that I just gave you. Bing and Bob; Butch and Sundance; Newman/Redford; Hugh and Ryan. It’s going to be a monster.”
Directed by Shawn Levy, written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Deadpool 3 is now slated for release on September 6, 2024.
