According to the Associated Press news agency, a human body was discovered last Saturday (24) by climbers on the same mountain where British actor Julian Sands disappeared. The family reported him missing Jan. 13 after he began hiking Mount Baldy in Southern California.
Local police also reported that an eighth search attempt was organized on June 17 but was unsuccessful. On Friday (23), the actor’s family released a statement on his disappearance.
“Deep in our hearts we continue to remember Julian with glowing memories of his wonderful fatherhood, of being a devoted husband, an explorer, a lover of nature and the arts, and a unique and collaborative artist,” the statement read .
The 65yearold British actor is best known for roles in films such as A Window on Love, Mysteries and Passions, Arachnophobia, Leaving Las Vegas and Warlock: The Demon. Sands also starred in a few episodes of Dexter and Smallville. He is married to the writer Evgenia Citkowitz and has three children.
