Hurricane G dead: Tributes come from the hip-hop world as they mourn the death of pioneering rapper Gloria Rodriguez at age 52
Hurricane G died at the age of 52.
The rapper, née Gloria Rodriguez, was pronounced dead on Sunday by EPMD’s Erick Sermon, with whom she shared a child. He did not name a cause of death.
He wrote on Instagram: “My heart is hardened today. One of my good friends…my oldest daughter’s mother passed away today,” before describing her as “a legend in her own right in the hip-hop community.”
