The Real Housewives of Miami alum Joanna Krupa said her husband is volunteering in Poland to help evacuate Ukrainian refugees.
“My husband only went there on Saturday – so he’s trying to arrange transport there,” the 42-year-old model and TMZ activist told TMZ of husband Douglas Nunez.
“It just warms my heart to see how much good is being done at this really emotional, critical and sad time,” she said.
Krupa said Nunes travels with her a lot to Poland, where she has a TV show.
“When the whole war started, he said, ‘I can’t, you know, just sit back and do nothing,’ and he has a lot of connections. I know he can be very helpful,” she told the publication.
“And we decided that I will stay here with my daughter, and then when he returns, we will probably switch places and I will go there,” Krupa said.
“I just want to hug these kids and these families and go see… different animal shelters that somehow got rescued and stuff like that,” she added.

“These people are going through such tragedies in their lives… I am sitting with my daughter curled up in bed with a warm blanket and pillow, and these families, their lives have changed overnight,” she said.
To date, three million refugees have fled Ukraine, most of whom moved to Poland because of the Russian invasion.
The couple’s daughter, Asha-Lee Presley Nunes, was born in November 2019.
