Hyundai Canada Ambassador: Marilou replaces Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge

A year after ending its long-standing partnership with Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge because he had not yet been vaccinated against COVID-19, Hyundai Canada is completely changing its image and hiring Marilou as its new ambassador.

The 32-year-old businesswoman and singer-songwriter, who hosts the second season of her show Trois fois par jour & vous on Zeste every Wednesday night, is the South Korean brand’s new image in Belle province.

“We had the opportunity to talk about my desire for philanthropy, my reality as a mom living in the suburbs, and as an entrepreneur in Quebec who spends a lot of time on the road. I also shared a lot with them about my love for Quebec and local artisans, and Hyundai has not hesitated to show that through this first-ever campaign we are launching today,” Marilou said in a statement on Monday.

It should be noted that Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge, who is hosting the second season of Chanteurs Masques on TVA on Sunday evening, announced on September 23 on the debate and news program Le monde à l’envers that he was getting married in the next few Meetings with Émilie Bégin. Lemay-Thivierge was a guest of Stéphan Bureau, who asked him to explain his rambling and unsolicited speech during the 37th Prix Gémeaux when he interrupted host Véronique Cloutier.

He said he was fine but admitted he was suffering from a fatigue that lasted a year: “I have to take care of myself, I have to take care of myself. I have to take a “break,” he said, revealing his intention to marry Émily Bégin. The 46-year-old artist, who starred in the 1985 film Le matou, will have been a spokesman for Hyundai Canada for almost 13 years.
