The Colombian Actors Association ACA has confirmed the death of actor Germán Tovar at the age of 72.
“Today our dear colleague and friend Germán Tovar Celeíta passed away, a great colleague, a member of the ACA since its inception, who has supported us in the Communications Secretariat with commitment and dedication. Solidarity hug to his wife Lucia and their daughters Camila and Juanita with our deepest regrets.” They wrote from their Instagram account.
In addition to his role in I am Ugly Betty as José Ambrosio Rosales, Tovar is remembered for his work on shows such as Married with Children and Emergency Room.
