For the second time in two games, the Montreal Canadiens lost their flag in a 4-3 shootout to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night.
But once again head coach Martin St-Louis was happy with his men.
“I'm very happy,” he told the media without hesitation after his team's setback. We played a good game, I liked our fighting spirit. We were well organized, physical and alert. It was a good game.”
But what can we do to turn these defeats into victories?
“It is [quelque chose qui va se faire] “Little by little,” replied St-Louis. We must move on and learn from our mistakes. We don't play against easy teams. We played well enough to win, but we lost. The players are not frustrated, they are disappointed.
A good excursion from Primeau
Goalkeeper Cayden Primeau did well under the circumstances, he who doesn't see much action these days.
According to his own statements, he would like to go to the net more often, but tries to make the most of every start.
“He played really well,” St-Louis admitted. Even though he doesn't have the net as often as he would like, he controls what he can and tonight he was ready. He gave us a chance [de l’emporter].”
