‘I don’t want to see any of this again’: Elliot Page reveals an unexpected consequence of the success of Best Picture Juno

Elliot page revealed that he is still deeply connected to him Junothe acclaimed 2007 comedy that earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Actress as Ellen Page.

The role of the film’s young and iconic protagonist brought him great visibility and international fame and marked the crucial turning point in his career. In a recent interview, Elliot Page is back in touch with great affection of the time he spent on the set of Jason Reitman’s film and claimed he would have no problem seeing it again today. However, there seems to be a special aspect of this experience that the actor has would like to forget:

Something like Juno, I don’t think I’d mind watching. I loved playing this character. I loved who he was. I really liked that there was something fresh and new about her in the way she presented herself. It was one of the best cinematic experiences I’ve ever had. It’s all about the continuation of all this. I could definitely check out Juno. However, I would not see anything from the stage Advertising for the Oscars and the entire advertising campaign. I’d rather not see anything from that time because I had to hide. I had to hide who I was, I was very withdrawn and in love, and my girlfriend didn’t come to events with me like straight cis people did.

Ellen Page then appeared in 2014 while announcing her definitive debut in December 2020 gender transition, effectively become Elliot Page. Later, the role of Juno earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Actress, recognition but not enough to make him reevaluate the stressful time leading up to it. It has since been confirmed that the actor will be returning in a starring role thanks to the indie drama Close to youDirected by Director Dominic Savage.

On television, he recently took part in the popular series The Umbrella Academy by Netflix, with the third season circulating on the platform in 2022. In 2019, he also took part in the miniseries Tales of the City, also produced by the streaming giant.
