Biagio Izzo, a well-known actor, gave an interview to Caterina Balivo during the program “La Volta Buona”.

He spoke during the episode of the program “La Volta Buona”, hosted by Caterina Balivo Biagio Izzo, Neapolitan comedian who shared some background stories about his long artistic career. And when he remembered a particular day, he did not lack emotions. These are his words: “In the beginning we were Bibì and Cocò, we couldn’t cross the street. It was an extraordinary thing. A good education. Thanks to marriages, I managed to overcome difficulties. But they weren’t always pretty ones.” Guys. They weren’t very recommendable people either. I was slapped for being late, even though I arrived first among the many artists scheduled to perform. They released the tension from me. And I was supposed to perform for free.

And then he continued: “It hurt me as a man, not as an artist. The worst thing is that my daughter Alessia took communion that day and I only went to church, I was dressed in white and with a coat. Then I went to work. And to this day I still curse myself for that decision. When I got the slap I said, “You don’t deserve me” and I have to say it helped me because I understood what I was supposed to do. It was at that moment, as I announced, that I would put an end to Bibì and Cocò.”
