Every time an iPhone comes out, the same question arises across the Apple planet: Should I upgrade to this brand new iPhone? It’s beautiful, it’s attractive, it has lots of new tech features… but is it really sensible?
To solve this cruel dilemma, we have put together a small comparison with the three previous models. Please note that these are only basic iPhones and not the Pro models. On the other hand, you can replace the iPhone 15 with the iPhone 15 Plus, except for the size of the screen and that of the battery, the rest of the comparison remains. Even if you have an iPhone 13 mini or an iPhone 12 mini, the comparison remains valid.
Is the iPhone 15 better than the iPhone 12?

Should you choose the iPhone 15 over an iPhone 12?
Yes. The iPhone 15 is undoubtedly a real improvement over the iPhone 12. Of course, it all depends on the condition of the iPhone 12: where is the battery, is the display damaged or not? Whatever happens, you just have to look at the amount of new features that the iPhone 15 offers, listed above, to be convinced: there is something to appreciate in the transition to the new model. But don’t panic about the iPhone 12 sales ban, your phone hasn’t suddenly become dangerous.

Should you choose the iPhone 15 over an iPhone 13?
It is already more complicated to give you a recommendation to change. The new features are certainly there, but none are truly notable or necessary enough to justify upgrading to the iPhone 15 if you own an iPhone 13. Not even Dynamic Island and the USB-C port, which are the really new features here.
Is the iPhone 15 better than the iPhone 14?
The iPhone 15 has these few additional advantages compared to the iPhone 14:

If you have an iPhone 14, should you choose the iPhone 15?
The battery life is the same, the format is the same, the chip is a little more powerful, we have a little more brightness, a more efficient photo sensor, USB-C and Dynamic Island. Nothing that really justifies the switch from the 2022 model to the 2023 model in our opinion. Whatever happens, we never advise you to change your product after just one year of use.
