I think I know when Edge makes his AEW debut – Cageside Seats

We don’t know for sure if former WWE Champion Edge is heading to AEW, but the rumor mill is leaning heavily in that direction.

Which brings me to this segment of last night’s episode of Dynamite, in which Edge’s old buddy Christian Darby stalked Allin’s dead father-uncle during a promo promoting this Sunday’s two-out-of-three falls match for the TNT Championship ( October 1) was hyped) at WrestleDream.

The crucial part that stands out to me is when Christian follows Darby’s courage to keep Luchasaurus out of their match, just as Darby will make sure Nick Wayne isn’t there. In other words, it sounds like no one will be at ringside for this title fight.

Christian can’t be trusted, so he must have an ace up his sleeve if he agrees to leave Luchasaurus out of this, especially in Darby’s hometown of Seattle. Maybe he can convince Nick Wayne to turn against Darby. But what if this promo actually sets the stage for Edge to make his AEW debut and directly impacts the outcome of the match? That seems like a good bet to me.

Speaking of which, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio noted that Edge was actually a possibility to appear for AEW at WrestleDream:

“Edge’s [WWE] The contract expires on Saturday, so he could appear on Sunday.”

Do you expect Edge to debut for AEW at WrestleDream? If so, will he be there to help Christian or screw him over? Let us know how you think things pan out in the comments below, Cagesiders.
