A TikToker named @shysohollywood has gone viral on social media for doing something sensational in a video: he was too drunk and decided to go behind the counter of the club he went to after drinking too much drank alcohol, known as the Waffle House. According to the website, which is swarming with employees of the franchise in question, it’s a common occurrence whenever someone in the bar drinks a little too much. But why?
The clip features an overlay that reads, “I’m not going to drink too much tonight.” The problem is, what happens next clearly proves the girl’s statement was false. In fact, thanks to the editing, in the following scenes we get a photo of her leaning at the grill in ripped jean shorts behind — not in front of — the Waffle House counter. When the film plays, a dish that appears to contain leftovers is then immortalized. But how exactly did this story unfold?

Under the caption of the video, the TikToker writes: “I cooked my own food and even got hired that night.” Fans of the woman were apparently positively impressed with how she managed to prepare something edible while drunk. Many now want to emulate her, claiming that the new trend is to cook your own food at the Waffle House.
One web user said he’s a former Waffle House waitress and would have liked to interact with a customer like @shysohollywood: “I’ll put it this way: As a former employee, you would have been my favorite customer.” A generic search reveals that – how expected – the influencer featured in our article is not the first to behave like this in the bar in question.

Exactly why that is, though, isn’t exactly known, as soon as you drink too much, the Waffle House seems to be a popular spot for boozers.
