Restoring 100 percent of its flight connections with Latin America is Iberia’s goal for this year, the Spanish airline said in a statement on Friday.
The list prepared by Iberia states that in the case of Cuba, the number of flights for the summer period will be increased by four per week.
For Central America, the text says, Iberia maintains direct flights from Costa Rica, Guatemala-El Salvador and Panama. They noted that between Latin America and Spain, Iberia regains the two daily flights with Argentina, Colombia and Mexico
The report means Iberia will regain more than 80 per cent of its capacity between Latin America and Spain next season, which begins March 26, when it will fly from 18 major capitals in the region, with 220 weekly flights in July and August. . .
From June, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina will have two daily connections to Spain.
In the case of Mexico, there will be 19 weekly flights, which is very close to the three daily flights that operated before the Covid-19 pandemic.
For Colombia, Iberia will exceed pre-disease capacity with two daily routes, and in Argentina it will also reach two routes in July and August.
The airline is bundling its daily flights with Peru, Chile and Brazil, seven weekly flights from Ecuador, four to Quito and three more from Guayaquil, and four to five weekly routes from Uruguay, the company said with PL.
Next April marks the 73rd anniversary of the first Iberia flight to Cuba.
