The Canadian ice hockey team’s sole Quebecer, Maxime Comtois, has distanced himself from the gang rape case currently rocking Hockey Canada.

“I am aware of the sexual assault allegations involving several of my former teammates. The allegations are serious and concerning and I am cooperating with the investigators to the best of my ability. However, I was in no way involved in the alleged abuse and no one ever mentioned anything else. I will not be making any further comments so as not to damage the investigation,” he said in a statement on Twitter.
