“You are everything I hoped for”!

In urban poetry à la Gerry Boulet, but in Franglais, the beautiful Lara, a 27-year-old fashion representative, declared her unconditional love to her smiling (toothy) carpenter Vincent, 26 years old.
Lara and Vincent form the cemented and attractive couple of Double Occupation Andalusia, sitting on a sofa, one on top of the other in a mini armchair, they only separate on orders from production, and everyone in their house is bored of them!
In Si on s’aime, teacher Marie-Josée, 48, and her carpenter Julien, 44, have not let go of each other for a second since they fell in love at first sight in a suburban bar. Aaah, you’re beautiful, you’re hot, you’re fine! And their children present themselves as half-brothers and half-sisters after just a few weeks of dating. It’s a quick process, let’s put it politely.
In L’amour est dans le pré, the rapid formation of fusion pairs automatically triggers positive reactions from the viewer. The two most intense couples of the fall in “OD” and “If We Loved Each Other” don’t inspire the same enthusiasm in the audience, but not at all.
We find them difficult, we judge the speed with which they found each other, we feel uncomfortable with the great affection expressed in such a short time, when we should rather be happy that these two reality shows are finally serve their purpose Firstly, it is about bringing together those who love each other – er, to paraphrase Édith Piaf.
OD and Si on s’aime were so fueled by discomfort and strife that this cooing and honeyed tangent destabilizes us, that’s clear. Even people who devour their eyes and look at absolutely everything with rose-colored glasses don’t make for sharp or snappy television.
The Lara-Vincent couple, who describe themselves as “the naughtiest couple in all of OD’s editions,” we won’t argue with them, even get on the nerves of their roommates, especially Antoine, the 31-year-old restaurateur. “Big, what do you mean, to win OD you have to be particularly frightening? “It could be the movie The Notebook,” grumbled Antoine, who, unlike Lara and Vincent, is not the type of guy “who makes flavored popsicles and rubs thighs for two hours.” Well said.
The flirting and other small touches between Lara and Vincent really irritate Antoine, who represents the voice of the people in this debate about physical love. “I can’t imagine taking a flower and perfuming it, I couldn’t be serious,” Antoine insisted between two endless calf-feeling sessions.
But what should you expect, blonde and tanned Lara describes herself as a “belly girl” and her gut tells her that “it feels right and that’s exactly what’s important,” OK?
The worst part is hearing Vincent complain about the “depths” he experiences being separated from his Boisbriand sweetheart. He has a loooong time and complains. You poor. Imagine how difficult it is for him to live with his friends in a beautiful villa in Andalusia while it’s snowing in Quebec? Cry me a river, Vincent.
In If We Loved Each Other, I dare not think of the outcome if Julien had fully opened his sentimental machine by ignoring therapist Louise Sigouin’s calls for calm and slowing down. Quebec reality TV wouldn’t have been prepared for more hugs (ding, tink!) and rolling eyes full of grease.
Back in OD, 24-year-old Mathieu Pasta almost said the words “I love you” to his sweetheart Rebecca, a 26-year-old social worker. “That came to mind,” Mathieu P. said into the camera. We hope the palette will be passed on.
When host Fred Robichaud advised the boys to “act like every party is the last,” Jérémy, the 28-year-old real estate entrepreneur, seemed excited for half a second. “Isn’t that a Corneille song? » he replied immediately, before the good old classic Jérémy came back.
The Jérémy who noticed that Laurence’s popcorn was “blooming” and the Jérémy who asks, “What does embryonic mean” as Doctor Sami describes to him the state of his budding relationship with nurse Céline.
Speaking of Céline and Sami, the most astute will have noticed that in 2022 the director of the “crazy” luxury hotel where these two candidates slept in Morocco was Abderrahim Zaki, father of the singer Camélia Zaki from the latest year of the Star Académie.
Another highlight of OD: The singles talk like Quebec hockey players who spent too much time on minor league teams in Syracuse or Hershey.
Like Antoine: “Lara is definitely the only girl from the other side I would have approached,” he murmured in a Newspeak only understood by Martin St-Louis of the Montreal Canadiens.
It’s also time to expose the fake off-camera flirtation between Rebecca and Anthony.
Unlike Sylvain and Frédérique’s journey in Si on s’aime, this fire in the pan does not turn into a campfire with repeated blowing.
