“If we still loved each other”: Courageous couples want to save their relationship with Louise Sigouin’s advice – Teller Report

We get straight to the point in the documentary “If we still loved each other”, in which five couples in crisis try to find solutions to their problems.

It is primarily about universal topics related to sexuality, psychological stress, house organization and money, as the agency QMI was able to observe when viewing the first four episodes DONNERSTAG.

The daily series, spanning six weeks, is sure to get people talking in the huts as the brave participants are, shall we say, engaging with a great deal of authenticity, which will once again be useful public relations work.

Content producer Marie-Hélène Poirier of Duo Productions reiterates it for anyone who will listen: It takes courage to show your good and bad sides on camera, but many contestants do so primarily for relationship support -expert Louise Sigouin. who is back with all her kindness and attention.

In the first week we meet four of the five couples. There’s Nathalie, 50, and Pierre, 56, who have been together for 32 years. They strive to find each other, especially on a sexual level, and to age “safely” together.

Alexandre, 35, and Gilles, 33, have been in a relationship for six years. Alexandre is very busy with his cell phone, he is a florist, which annoys Gilles, who feels alone in the relationship.

In a four-year relationship, Emmanuelle, 34, and Jérémie, 28, have had communication difficulties, particularly since complications following the birth of the youngest.

Diane, 59, and Yves, 63, are the “youngest” couple, having been together for seven months. She thinks he wants to make love too often.

In the second week of broadcasting we also meet Janie, 40, and Lee, 43, who have shared their lives for six years.

For those familiar with the first three seasons of Si on s’aime, there is always talk of Louise Sigouin’s five dualities, either dependent/codependent; fusion/loner; rational/emotional; active/dreamy; Fast Slow.

Taking place in a new setting, Ms. Sigouin not only welcomes the participants alone or in pairs, but also converses with Émily Bégin and Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge to provide additional information in the episodes.

The Bégin-Lemay-Thivierge couple continues to play the role of the spectator in their living room, adding their sometimes serious, sometimes comical comments that allow us to laugh and defuse tension.

In support of “If we still loved each other”, Louise Sigouin signed the book “If we still loved each other – Happiness and challenges of life as a couple” with François De Falkensteen, published on April 27 at Éditions de L ‘Male.

Note that the original version of “Si on s’aimer” will be back on TVA next fall.

Produced by Duo Productions in association with Quebecor Content, If We Still Loved Each Other documentary will air Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m. on TVA beginning May 1.
