The Lenovo Legion Go.
Lenovo once again presented some very interesting innovations at IFA 2023 in Berlin. In addition to the “Legion Go game console”, it has done very well, especially with a new 3D screen that does not require wearing special glasses and connected Full HD glasses as a large screen.
Let’s start with the spectacular 27-inch 4K ThinkVision screen, capable of displaying 3D in Full HD and without glasses. Thanks to dual eye tracking, this screen is capable of producing great 3D animations, as I saw just before the opening of IFA. However, you have to wait until February 2024 and pay 2,999 francs for this technology flagship.
After a very enthusiastic first impression, I still noticed two limitations of this screen. Initially, the effect is maximum at a distance of about sixty centimeters. Then, when the 3D animation leaves the center and moves to the edges of the screen, we sometimes see the double image. Otherwise I have never seen anything so good!

The Lenovo Legion Glasses USB-C glasses, available this fall for 499 francs, mark an incredible step forward compared to last year. This time they are initially characterized by a real Full HD resolution. It’s finally the end of the pixels we could almost count!
After trying this high-quality display, I easily connected it to a Samsung smartphone to use the DeX platform. Even though it’s still experimental and the cable is too short and too heavy like these glasses, Lenovo has made incredible progress. A real use for this product has yet to be found…

Alongside the Legion 9i gaming machine, Lenovo introduced a kind of small gaming console powered by an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor. On both sides of the 8.8-inch screen, detachable joysticks allow gaming on this Windows 11 touchscreen PC whose total weight does not exceed 640 grams!
In hand, this ultraportable computer with 16GB of RAM was very responsive. The “gamers” in attendance seemed to appreciate the few demos available. I also found finger browsing on this touchscreen to be quite playable given the advancement in technology. The 799 francs that will be claimed in the fall are correct.
