Iggy Azalea claims her message of women’s empowerment angered Saudi authorities after her raunchy concert in Riyadh was cut short by police because her pants ripped on stage
Iggy Azalea angered Saudi Arabian authorities on Friday night during a raunchy concert on Riyadh City boulevard, where the performance was cut short because her trousers burst on stage.
However, the 33-year-old has now claimed it was her message of female empowerment and not her wardrobe malfunction that prompted police to end the concert early.
The racy rapper spent the concert twerking to her many swear-word-filled hits, which she performed uncensored when her skin-tight latex pants completely burst open.
Iggy sat awkwardly on the stage and tried to cover up the mishap while urging her entourage to bring her some sweatpants so she could cover up.
Interestingly, a remix of Cher’s feminist anthem “Woman’s World” was playing at the time of the incident.

Someone from Iggy’s team got her a pair of pants so she could continue the performance, and she managed to play through a few more songs before the police ended the show early.
The star addressed the incident on Twitter, apologizing to fans before claiming that her feminist messages may have been behind the cancellation of the performance.
“Saudi Arabia please everyone at the show tonight.. I LOVE YOU!!!” And I’m sooooo sorry I didn’t get to finish my show,” she posted on X (formerly Twitter).
“It’s not the promoter who put the blame on the show so show them kindness because they are great people and we all wanted to go ahead but the authorities wouldn’t let us because my pants ripped,” she continued away.

In two tweets, Iggy implied that her feminist messages were the reason the concert was cancelled
When a fan responded and asked, “They really didn’t just let you change your pants?” Iggy replied, “I did, but I also said, ‘Ladies make some noise, it’s a woman’s world!'” And apparently did which the authorities overthrew. lol.’
She added, “I’m cool, I just didn’t want the fans to be sad or angry at the show organizers because it wasn’t their control or mine, it was the police on the sidelines.”
