Ignored by police, twin sisters reveal how they tracked down their serial cyberstalker who posted their intimate pictures online – and the terrifying moment you realized he’d attended their wedding

Twin sisters have revealed how they tracked down their serial cyberstalker who posted their nude photos online and ended up putting him in federal prison.

Madison and Christine Conradis suffered a decade of harassment after finding their intimate pics on 4chan — followed by a series of intimidating messages sent to them from anonymous social media accounts.

Despite being turned away by police, the sisters continued their fight, which ended last December. Their cyberstalker – a man they both knew well – was arrested, reports the Washington Post.

Christopher Buonocore – who had attended college with the sisters and even attended one of their weddings – was the man behind the years-long campaign of harassment that has seen six intimate images of women posted online thousands of times.

For these crimes, he was sent to federal prison for 15 years. But that was only possible thanks to the twin sisters’ persistent intuition, their internet sleuthing, and their determination to help other women in their situation.

Madison found out ten years ago when she was 24 that her nude photos were being shared on the lawless website 4chan. The pictures were also sent to her father, friends and boss.

Despite the harassment, Madison was told by Madison, Florida police that what she was experiencing was not a criminal offense and that nothing could be done.

But as the torment continued and Madison received Facebook messages from anonymous accounts demanding new photos, her sister Christine, who had just passed the bar association, decided to step in where law enforcement had failed to help.

In 2016, Madison also began dating her new boyfriend, Jeffrey Geiger. During a trip to the Florida Keys, she posted a sunset on her Snapchat story that was viewed by 39 people.

The next morning, she received a message from one of the anonymous harassment accounts that read, “I see you guys are having a great time in the Keys.” Madison searched through the 39 names who saw the photo and focused on one — Christopher Buonocore.

A year later, when Madison’s relationship with Geiger was falling apart, she found that new pictures of her were being posted on 4chan. They were nude pictures that she had sent to her boyfriend.

Boudoir pictures of Christine, which she had sent to her husband, were also posted. Geiger had access to it through Dropbox.

That’s when the twins confronted Geiger – who allegedly confessed to contacting the anonymous molestation accounts and sent them the new nude pictures of his girlfriend and her sister.

Geiger left Christine a handwritten note, a copy of which she included in the court records: “I’m an idiot and don’t deserve your sister.” I’m not asking you to forget or look beyond what I did.

“I just hope that one day you’ll forgive me.” …I swear to everyone I love I just wanted to help.”

In September 2018, the sisters filed a civil lawsuit against Geiger and “John Doe,” alleging they violated privacy and intentionally caused emotional distress.

Their primary goal was to facilitate disclosure that would allow them to subpoena 4chan and obtain the IP addresses to expose John Doe – the person Geiger sent the images to and subsequently uploaded her nudes to the site .

The sisters, of their own accord, began tracking down and noticing punctuation and spelling mistakes in 4chan posts to see if there were any common similarities and to see if their stalker was doing the same to other women.

Christine and Madison found that a person with the same username appeared to be behind other malicious posts by four other women in the nude.

When the twins searched for these women on Facebook, they found they all had one connection in common: Chris Buonocore.

Buonocore, from Long Island, attended Florida Institute of Technology with Christine and was a member of the same fraternity as Christine’s future husband.

He had attended Christine’s wedding in March 2017 – at the height of the harassment.

Madison told the Washington Post, “I had no interaction with him at all at their wedding, but he was definitely there.”

The sisters then investigated who the four other victims were. One was Buonocore’s ex-girlfriend, another was his underage relative, the third was his childhood friend, and the fourth was his ex-fiancée.

The ex-girlfriend told the sisters that she had endured his sexual harassment since 2013, and she also tried to have the 4chan photos of her removed.

Buonocore’s relative was 14 years old in 2016 when he posted photos of her in her school uniform on 4chan. He asked other users for advice on how to get them to send him nudes.

He said he wanted to have sex with her, according to the consent form. In one post, he wrote, “I have a strong desire to watch.” [her] be raped,” and he offered to pay someone to do it, according to the consent form available to WaPo.

The third victim, Buonocore’s childhood friend, said he somehow got a shirtless photo of her when she was 15 and he shared it online, documents say.

The fourth wife was Buonocore’s ex-fiancée. After their split, he posted intimate photos of her online – and she only found out when the twins contacted her.

Still being turned down by law enforcement, Christine used her new knowledge as a lawyer to create a 59-page document explaining the entire case.

It included all the evidence they found for all six women and also included ways to circumvent the strict legal restrictions that police authorities have consistently accused them of.

Using the files, all of the women requested a criminal investigation from their respective investigators.

In Manatee County, Florida, the case was eventually turned over to federal investigators, and in July 2019 the FBI took responsibility as evidence showed it was a case of interstate cyberstalking.

Months later, Madison and Christine also received one final, crucial piece of information thanks to their previous civil case. They were given the IP addresses and contact details of the 4chan poster.

In April 2020, internet providers confirmed that it was Christopher Buonocore who published the intimate pictures.

The civil suit ended with the sisters settling with Geiger for an undisclosed amount and the judge ordering Buonocore to remove and destroy the pictures of Madison and Christine.

As for the criminal case, in December 2020 the US Attorney for the Middle District of Florida indicted Buonocore on six counts of cyberstalking – as there was no federal criminalization for revenge pornography.

He pleaded guilty to all counts.

At his November 2021 trial in Tampa, US District Judge Thomas Barber sentenced Buonocore to 15 years in federal prison.

That was four more years than the prosecutor had even asked for — and far more than the plea deal Buonocore wanted to negotiate.
