As she has done since the beginning of her Celebration Tour, the Queen of Pop invited a local celebrity on stage to judge the dancers' performance during the ballroom sequence during the song “Vogue.”
Montreal artist Elle Barbara was the lucky winner.
“I received a message from the team saying they had just arrived in Montreal and that they had asked for me to accompany them,” she tells the Journal, which has no idea why she was chosen.
“At first I thought it was an Instagram scam. “I was very excited and especially surprised that Madonna had heard of me,” she says.
She meets her daughter
She quickly understood that it was serious. “His daughter came to me the day before the show to make sure it wasn’t a scam and to give me basic instructions.”
On Thursday evening, Elle Barbara was welcomed to the Bell Center with nine friends for an evening that promised to be extraordinary.
She assures that she wasn't even nervous once on stage with Madonna. They sat next to each other and gave notes to the artists who paraded in front of them. In the pictures circulating on social media, we can see the star resting her head on Elle Barbara's shoulder.
“I felt very well. She guided me because nothing in the show is left to chance and we hadn’t practiced.”
Of course, these brief moments will remain in his memory. “I will never forget.”
