'I am not suprised. I am absolutely thrilled. Not everyone likes the things I've advocated for, but no matter what people think, I've committed myself and thrown myself into the camp. But if you asked me if I would do it again, I probably would!
“Of course there were people there with different views, but I think I managed to convince them that we can respect the right to different views.” We had real debates, no shouting, no big arguments and I hope that they understand it.
“The different backgrounds and ages were a joy. “I learned that I can control fear in ways I didn't even know I could.”

During the finale, Nigel faced his greatest fear yet as he faced the series' final bushtucker trial in Sunday night's episode
Nigel made it into the final three on Saturday night alongside former Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson, 31, and boxer Tony Bellew, 41, after This Morning's Josie Gibson was voted out by the public
The politician entered Panic Pit hoping to win the three finalists' desserts, himself a drink and a treat – plus a coffin full of snakes
“I was very impressed with Nigel Farage in the jungle. I think he made a pretty solid impression.”
Fans were also quick to notice that Nigel had followed almost exactly the same route as former Health Secretary Matt Hancock in the 2022 series – as he also reached the final and finished in third place.
Matt was only beaten by Jill Scott and Owen Warner into first and second place respectively, exceeding all expectations.
Fans were quick to notice the coincidence and viewers took to social media to declare it “weird.”
One said: “As if Nigel Farage got the same position as Matt Hancock last year.”
Another joked: “Which controversial politician will come 3rd next year?”
Like Nigel, Matt had entered the jungle so viewers could see a “lighter side” to him – as both characters proved at odds in politics over the course of their respective careers.

During the horrific trial, Nigel was forced to remain in the pit for a while and was accompanied by snakes.
Ant explained: “This is Panic Pit.” For every two minutes you stay down there, you win a star. Five stars on offer, so a total of 10 minutes. But of course you won't be alone down there.'
Dec added: “The first three stars are for desserts for the camp.” The fourth star is for your drink, the fifth star is for your treat.
As it began, Ant said: “You've got company now, Nigel.”

Sam said, “Oh, it’s a snake!”
Dec checked in on Nigel halfway through his time and asked: “Are you okay, Nigel?”
Nigel replied: “Yeah, well, thanks, we’re having a lovely time.”
Towards the end of the final trial in the series, the lights went out and the former UKIP leader found himself in complete darkness.
After receiving the star for his drink, Nigel said: “Damn beautiful.”

Meanwhile, Tony took part in the first attempt of the day, Stakeout, to win the final three entrees for their final meal in the jungle
Sam took part in the second experiment, Bonanza, an eating experiment where he had to eat witch food, camel toes, a pig's vagina and a camel penis
At the start of the ITV show, Sam and Tony took part in separate trials to win starters, main courses, drinks and treats.
Tony took part in the first attempt of the day, Stakeout, and won the first three entrees for their final meal in the jungle.
Ant explained: “This is 'Stakeout.'” You're strapped to the giant slab and have to stay on it and endure the jungle creatures that join you there.
“For every two minutes you manage to stay on the plate, you win a star.”
Dec added: “The first three stars you win are the starting point for you and your other campmates. “The fourth is for your drink of choice tonight and the fifth is for a very special treat for yourself.”
Right at the start of the trial, Tony shouted, 'Why was I chosen for this?' That's a joke.'
However, he managed to face the creatures and win all the stars.
Sam took part in the second attempt, Bonanza, to win the main course for the other celebrities.
During the food tasting, he was presented with five dishes, the first being a Witchetty meal, which he ate without hesitation.
Next, Sam had to eat a piece of camel clove to win Tony's main course before facing a fisheye and a scorpion.
To earn his drink, the radio host had to eat a pig's vagina. Sam said, “I don't think I can do this…”
To encourage the reality star, the others began singing “Everybody In Love” by JLS to help Sam along.
When Sam completed his final attempt of the series, he came face to face with a camel's penis. Nigel encouraged him: “Don’t look at it, just do it.”
Sam received all five stars, meaning the finalists got to enjoy a three-course meal with a drink and a treat on their final night in the jungle.
