Seann Walsh has announced that he will be starring in his own sitcom following his successful stint in the I’m A Celeb jungle.
The 37-year-old comedian took to Instagram on Thursday night to share the exciting news – and admitted it’s been “a long road” getting the series to TV screens.
Seann is just back in the UK after taking part in Season 22 of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Late last year where he finished fifth.

Now, in the sitcom, which is set to hit screens later this year, Seann will play the character of Rowan, with the show’s sales title being “Who Would You Least Want to Have as Your Therapist?”
Written by Seann and James Kettle, the show will be read through in front of a live audience before being adapted into a series.
Sharing the news on his social media, Sean wrote, “I’ve been working on this for many years. I’ve always wanted to do my own sitcom.
“It’s finally starting!! Christ, that was a long way! I’m so excited about this!! I have the best cast! Absolutely buzzing.

Seann’s announcement was met with much excitement, as one comment read: “Buzzing. No question, it will be just as brilliant as you are.
Another wrote: “Love it. What a great cast.”

Even Seann’s I’m a Celebrity cast member and A Place in the Sun host, Scarlette Douglas, chimed in, adding: “Yes I knew you could pull this off! I remember the conversation we had in the jungle, I can’t wait to see it!’.
This next step in Seann’s career follows his scandalous stint on Strictly Come Dancing, where he was spotted kissing his professional partner Katya Jones in 2018.
At the time, he was in a relationship with now-ex-girlfriend Rebecca Humphries while Katya was married to fellow dancer Neil Jones.

Seann recently opened up about how his “bad experience” at Strictly almost prevented him from appearing on I’m A Celeb – and admitted he found the idea of another reality show “terrifying”.
But it was thanks to his pregnant partner Grace Adderley who eventually persuaded him to take part in the ITV Challenge.
He said hello! Magazine: “Grace said to me, ‘This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The adventure itself will be worth it’ – and she was absolutely right.
“I was so petrified that I would get a backlash. I had such a bad experience with all the things that were said about me last time [on Strictly]the idea of that happening again was terrifying.’

During the show, Sean opened up about his Strictly Kissing scandal, calling it the “worst moment of my life.” His agent said his “career is dead”.
He told fellow comedian Babatunde Aleshe: “It’s been by far the most depressing month of my life, Edinburgh after Strictly.
“Right before I go ahead (and do a show), my agent comes in and says, ‘Just so you know, there’s about 30 people there.’

Speaking to his roommate, Sue Cleaver, he added, “Me and my dance partner who was married, I was in a relationship, we were pictured kissing when we were on Strictly Come Dancing… that was the front page of every newspaper.”
Sue asked, “Why did that crucify you? Why did that have such an impact?’
Seann said: “To be perfectly honest, my poor ex, my girlfriend at the time, posted a statement. My girlfriend [at the time] posted a statement and that was the end of me.’
