Fans of “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” claimed to have spotted a looming “feud” between Owen Warner and Mike Tindall during Sunday’s series premiere.
Hollyoaks star Owen, 23, ex-rugby player Mike, 44, and Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver, 59, have been tasked with taking part in the Critters Cruise challenge.
But when the actor had to read out the code ‘1463’ engraved on a brick during the challenge, he joked that it was the year Zara Tindall’s husband was born.
Oh man! Fans of “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” claimed to have spotted a looming “feud” between Owen Warner and Mike Tindall (pictured) during Sunday’s series premiere
He had been looking for three stars representing meals for the camp, locked behind padlocks in a sewer.
Mike had offered to take the helm on a first attempt in an inverted boat as he was ‘the only one without a hair’ before Owen took the lead for the second part – both winning three stars.
Viewers tweeted: “Does anyone else think it’s only a matter of time before Mike Tindall puts Owen in his place? #ImACeleb’ and ‘Mike Tindall watching Owen cry in the trail #ImACeleb’.
Others added: “Mike Tindall watches Owen get buggered #ImACeleb” and “Mike will end up absolutely *hating* Owen. You can already see it. #ImACeleb #ImACelebrity.
First task: Hollyoaks star Owen, 23, (pictured) ex-rugby player Mike, 44, and Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver, 59, have been tasked with taking part in the Critters Cruise Challenge
Another concluded: “Mike enjoys seeing Owen suffer and sends me on. #imaceleb.’
Mike, Owen and Sue found instructions waiting for them and Owen read aloud: “Celebrities, now is your chance to win three stars on the Critter Cruise.
“Each star represents a meal for tonight’s camp. There are three challenges marked on the map, one for each of you.
“Each challenge gives you a chance to find a code, and this code will unlock one of the stars on the boat.”
Incoming: Viewers tweeted: ‘Does anyone else think it’s just a matter of time before Mike Tindall puts Owen in his place? #ImACeleb’
Realizing that the first challenge required someone to dive underwater and come up in an upside-down boat, Mike pointed out, “I’m the only one with no hair…”
Sue encouraged him: ‘Good reputation!’
Inside the boat, Mike faced a variety of creepy crawlies, including a large spider that crawled right over his head.
Owen discovered that the boat was called Maud and that Mike had to find the numbers that correlated with each letter of Maud to get his padlock code. Mike did it and earned his first star.
Arrival: The rugby star (right) was flown by helicopter to the infamous jungle with Coronation Street actress Sue and Hollyoaks star Owen (left).
Dreadful! Inside the boat, Mike faced a variety of creepy crawlies, including a large spider that crawled right over his head
Tricky: Eventually, Owen had to get into a pipe and search through the critters to find various Allen keys
Sue then had to rummage through boxes to count how many fish eyes were in each.
After initial confusion, in which Sue was forced to return to some of her crates to collect missed eyeballs, she finally got the correct code and earned her star.
Eventually, Owen had to get into a pipe and search through the critters to find various allen wrenches.
He repeatedly yelled “Allen” as he searched, eventually unlocking a grate and finding a brick with his code on it, meaning they had won all three stars to bring back to camp.
This year’s line-up is spearheaded by ’80s hitmaker Boy George, Love Island star Olivia Attwood and DJ Chris Moyles, with the stars donning their jungle best for first-look snaps ahead of the show’s November 6 return put on.
They will be joined by Loose Women’s Charlene White, A Place In The Sun host Scarlette Douglas, comedian Babatúndé Aléshé and retired English lioness Jill Scott.
It was announced on Tuesday that Matt Hancock is also heading to the Australian jungle as a surprise latecomer.
I’m A Celebrity airs every night of the week and both weekends after launch – at 9 p.m. each time.
