I’m A Celebrity’s Mike Tindall playfully attacks a blonde crew member before heading into the jungle

I’m A Celebrity’s Mike Tindall playfully attacked a blonde crew member as he killed time before heading into the Australian jungle for his first horrific trial.

The former England rugby ace, 44, wrapped his arms around the worker and pretended to throw her off the pier into the water.

Mike had plenty of energy after his period of isolation and couldn’t stop laughing as he played around between filming scenes for the ITV show.

A viewer told The Sun: “Mike cheekily ran behind the handsome crewmember before swinging her around on the pontoon. At one point, he pretended to push her over the edge while killing time while waiting to be taken to his first trial.

“Mike is bursting with energy after being locked up in isolation for a week and will be full of mischief at camp.”

It comes after Mike confirmed his wife Zara will be flying to Australia to support him on ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here’! “when it comes to an end” – and warned him not to eat too loud.

The rugby star will become the first member of the royal family to take part in the ITV series, which begins on Sunday.

And his performance has the full support of Zara, 41, King Charles’ niece, but he was told how the Olympic equestrian star begged him not to embarrass her with his uncouth eating style.

Speaking from New South Wales, Australia, Mike said: “We have things to do out here. So when it comes to an end, hopefully she can come out.

“Zara told me to go and be myself, which is all you can be. She said enjoy it and be yourself.

“Zara’s biggest concern is how noisy I am when I’m eating. She’ll be delighted if anyone comments on how loudly I breathe while eating, as it’s always a point she brings up.”

Mike, who shares three children with Zara, whom he married in 2011, has fond memories of Australia.

He was part of England’s victorious World Cup squad that defeated the Wallabies in a vibrant final on their home turf in 2003.

In the same month he met Zara for the first time during the tournament in a bar in Sydney.

In fact, Mike has such a fondness for Australia that he declined to star on I’m A Celeb while it was filmed in Wales for the last two series, preferring to wait until it got to his traditional home, Down Under returned.

And he sought advice from former England team-mate James Haskell and the ex-I’m A Celeb star before signing on.

He explained: “They asked me when it was in Wales but Wales didn’t address me that way. We come to Australia quite often for some stuff we do over here.

“Obviously I talked to Hask about it and he thought I was going to have quite a bit of fun doing it and then not long after that we have other commitments over here so it all came together nicely so it was worth doing.”

“I’m not exactly sure what to expect from this, but hopefully it will be fun when we have a good group of people at camp. Hask said he had quite a bit of fun with it so I’m looking forward to it. ‘

Mike says he has “no phobias” and believes he’ll make a good roommate considering he’s played on a team in the past and acknowledging the importance of morale within a group.

He admits his children, daughters Mia, 8, and Lena, 4, plus son Lucas, 1, are too young to watch their dad in the jungle, but hopefully Zara will make sure they catch up in the morning .

Mike added, “The thing with the kids is that on a normal night they’ll be in bed before the show ends, so it’s going to be up to Z to bring them the highlights – probably just the good stuff. ‘
