Here are some reactions from citizens that our journalist collected on the streets:
“[Je suis] disappointed. I wished him healing. I’m speechless”
“I’m from France and I learned to love Quebec thanks to the Cowboys Fringants. Honestly, it’s good Quebec folk music. We love it at home and listen to it with the kids. It’s really sad to hear this today.”
“You just have to remember the good memories of him. For me it’s summer parties. I remember when I was younger, especially at Midsummer, as a family we would play a lot of Cowboys Fringants and sing them loudly.
“It’s still an icon of Quebec. It’s still sad to know.”
“He is a good singer. I really liked him because he said a lot of things that we really meant. It’s just a shame that we lost someone like that.”
