Iman Vellani counters criticism of Ms. Marvel’s powers, which will be different from the character’s in the comics.
Speaking to SFX Magazine (via The Direct), Iman Vellani says the powers of Mrs Miracle are subordinate to their actual purpose. Therefore, she feels that if the essence is kept, then there is no reason to complain about the change.
“I’m very possessive (about Kamala). I think we’re staying true to what the comics brought us. The themes have always been about identity and connecting to the 50 million things that make up Kamala. As far as I’m interested, she could shoot sausages out of her fingers as long as she continues this journey of selfdiscovery.” It says Vellani.
