In La Doré, in the Lac Hélène sector, in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, a police operation is underway because a suspect who may be armed is staying there.
The suspect would move on foot, according to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), which is urging residents to avoid the area. The warning concerns the Chemin de la Branche Ouest sector.
It is about an elderly man in his late fifties who would have a long gun in his possession.

“If you are currently in the area do not approach the suspect, lock doors, move away from windows, exit area when safe to do so,” SQ warned on Twitter.
