Impact Rebellion 2022 Live Results: Moose vs. Alexander, AAA Women’s Title, More!

Fight night is here for Impacts Rebellion PPV (Saturday April 23, 2022). The main event will see Josh Alexander aiming to fulfill his quest to reclaim the Impact World Championship from arch-rival Moose. There are six title fights in all, with Forbidden Door performances by Taya Valkyrie, “Switchblade” Jay White, Jonathan Gresham and Tomohiro Ishii.

The Rebellion PPV portion begins at 8:00 p.m. ET and is available via PPV and Fite TV (order here). The free pre-show begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on YouTube.

Eddie Edwards defeated Chris Bey. (Jonathan Gresham was replaced after reports of an injury.) Edwards ducked a springboard cutter and then attacked to win a tiger driver and die hard driver.

Impact Knockouts World Tag Team Championship: Influence persists against The IInspiration. After two close pinfalls by both sides, Madison Rayne speared Cassie Lee and Tenille Dashwood stunned Jessie McKay. The Influence used a double team maneuver to drive McKay’s head to the mat. Tenille pinned the win.

PPV card

Steve Maclin defeated Chris Sabin and “Switchblade” Jay White in a threesome. Sabin hit the cradle shock finisher on White, but Maclin came from behind to sneak a crucifix pin on Sabin.

AAA Reina de Reina’s Championship: Taya Valkyire defeated Deonna Purrazzo to win the title. (Full details here.) Taya escaped a gotch pile driver, landed a high knee and Road to Valhalla to become a 4-time AAA Women’s Champion.

Impact X-Division Championship: Ace Austin won the title in a three-way defeat of Trey Miguel and “Speedball” Mike Bailey. Trey hits Bailey with the Meteora’s Flying Double Knees. Ace pulled on the referee’s leg to prevent the three-pointer. Ace scored his fold finisher against Trey to win.

Tomohiro Ishii defeated JONAH. Hoss fight! Ishii dodged a flying splash, then steadied himself with headbutts. Ishii lifted the giant man for a brainbuster to win.

Impact World Tag Team Championship: Violent by Design remains in the 8-team elimination challenge. Default Gauntlet rules applied.

Matt Cardona & Brian Myers def. Jordynne Grace & W. Morrissey. Cardona curled up Grace as Morrissey chased Myers outside the ring. After that, Morrissey and Grace knocked down the main players. Morrissey powerbombed Chelsea Green through a table.

Good Brothers def. Cardona & Myers. Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows wasted no time and took advantage of the situation. Magic Killer pins Cardona.

Good Brothers def. Johnny Swinger & Zicky Dice. To squeeze. Spinebuster and Magic Killer on dice.

Good Brothers def. Rich Swann & Willie Mack. Hot chocolate ran wild on the hot day. Gallows stifled the momentum by throwing Mack off the turnbuckles. Big LG chokeslams Swann on the apron. Magic killers for Mack.

Matt Taven & Mike Bennett def. Good Brothers. Honor No More created a distraction upon entering. Karl Anderson was no fool. Cutter against Bennett and suplex against Taven, but Maria Kanellis hooked Anderson’s leg, sending Taven up. Maria held Anderson’s foot to prevent a kickout. This was followed by a mini brawl with a Magic Killer against Taven on the floor.

Heath & Rhino defeated Taven & Bennett. When OGK set up a Proton Pack teamwork finisher on Heath, Taven charged in and Rhino exploded after a spear to save the day.

Eric Young & Joe Doering def. Heath & Rhino. Young blocked Heath’s finisher to counter a counter for a piledriver to keep gold.

Impact Knockouts Championship: Tasha Steelz retains against Rosemary. The Demon Assassin sprayed green mist on Savannah Evans’ face to neutralize the cheating heating. Spear to Steelz. 1, 2, kicked out by the champion. Steelz rallied from the turnbuckles to Rosemary for a springboard cutter. A sitdown suplex sealed the deal.

Impact World Championship: Josh Alexander defeated Moose to become the new champion. (Full details here.) Great match. On the course, Moose slammed Alexander headfirst into an exposed turnbuckle. Spear. throw out. Moose slammed a buckle bomb into the exposed turnbuckles. Spear? Alexander blocked with a knee to the head. The challenger dug deep to hit a C4 pile driver and win gold. Alexander celebrated the conclusion of the show with his family.
