In a publication on social networks published by numerous Cuban media outlets, the Cuban diplomatic mission in Mexico and its consulate in Veracruz stated that they are aware of an accident in Juchitán de Zaragoza, Oaxaca, in which Cuban migrants found themselves in an irregular situation be affected. .
They added that the embassy and consulate are maintaining constant communication with relevant authorities and taking the necessary steps to contact the families of the injured. Likewise, they assure that they will offer consular support and assistance to the Cuban citizens involved in this sad event.

Accident involving 22 Cubans driving through Oaxaca
Late this week, local media reported a traffic accident involving 22 Cubans traveling illegally through the country. Six people were injured, three male and three female, when a van carrying migrants through the state of Oaxaca overturned.
The accident occurred when one of the vehicle’s tires burst on the road that connects Juchitán with Unión Hidalgo in the southeast of the country. The driver fled after the accident, the Oaxaca fire department told the Spanish television channel CNN.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and provided assistance to the injured, who were taken to the Dr. General Hospital. Macedonio Benítez Fuentes in the city of Juchitan. A 60-year-old woman is still in critical condition, fire officials added. Cuban minors were also traveling in the truck.
