Anyone who has gotten used to the extended public holidays in April, May and June can celebrate: there will still be a few days off on weekdays in 2023.
In the second semester, the public holidays do not come until September, with Brazil’s independence (September 7th) and Children’s Day and Our Lady of Aparecida (October 12th) on Thursdays.
In November, All Souls’ Day (November 2nd) also falls on a Thursday, while the proclamation of the Republic (November 15th) falls on a Wednesday.
Black Awareness Day (11/20), which is a public holiday in some cities across the country, falls on a Monday. In December, Christmas Day (December 25) also falls on a Monday.
It is worth remembering that although national holidays are provided for by federal law, they apply throughout the national territory.
Check out upcoming holidays 2023:

local holidays
Black Consciousness Day, which occurs on November 20 and falls on a Monday this year, is not on the list as it is not considered a national holiday or optional day as it depends on local or state law.
Public Service Day, which takes place on October 28, falls on a Saturday this year. The date is not a national holiday, but states and localities typically grant employees an optional credit and suspend service in public offices except for those performing essential jobs.
