Irene (Gloria Pires) will be so weakened after finding out that Danielzinho is not her grandson that she will even confess to her most terrible crime in the country and Paixão. The woman admits that she had the idea to sabotage the car Daniel (Johnny Massaro) was driving the night he died. The villain’s goal was for Caio (Cauã Reymond) to use the vehicle and become a victim.
In scenes set to air on the 19th episode of Globo’s nine o’clock soap opera, Irene will be very depressed. She will have found out that Danielzinho is not Daniel’s biological son, but Marino’s (Leandro Lima). This was all part of an initiative by Graça (Agatha Moreira) to enjoy the benefits of the La Selva family.
Gloria Pires’ character throws her exdaughterinlaw out of the house along with the baby, but feels an emptiness after leaving. In a moment of sadness, the woman goes into Danielzinho’s room alone, closes the door and touches the baby’s furniture, which will still be there. She will start talking to herself.
“I love you, my son… And I will always love you,” he will say as he recalls the scenes of Daniel’s death. Irene cries a lot and confesses the crime she committed.
Sorry, Daniel! Forgive me, my son! I didn’t want to! You shouldn’t have been in that car! Caio should die, not you! My Daniel… Forgive me! Excuse me!
“The night you left, that damn night… A part of me died with you! That car… You shouldn’t have been in that car. That wasn’t it! It was Caio! Everything was done like that.” Caio had died! Not you, my son… Not you!” she said angrily.
No one will hear Irene’s speech, but Antônio (Tony Ramos) will soon knock on the bedroom door and demand to know if the woman is there. She will try to calm down, open the door and say that she needs to be alone for a while. “Ah, Antônio… it seems to me that our grandson has died,” he will lament.
Written by Walcyr Carrasco and Thelma Guedes, Terra e Paixão is set in the fictional town of Nova Primavera in Mato Grosso do Sul. The plot will be broadcast until January next year, when it will be replaced by the remake of Renascer (1993).
