In the USA, a family dispute over Christmas presents has turned tragic. According to BBC and CBS News, a 14-year-old boy killed his older sister with a semi-automatic pistol in Florida on Sunday, December 24th.
While the little boy was shopping on New Year's Eve with his 15-year-old brother, his 23-year-old sister and their children, and his mother, an argument arose between the two teenagers about “who would get the most presents for Christmas?” Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said at a news conference.
A bullet in the chest
Back at her grandmother's house in Largo, the family feud continues. The tension then escalated when the 14-year-old pulled out a semi-automatic pistol, pointed it at his oldest child and threatened to shoot him in the head.
Separated from her uncle, the youngest boy is then taken to the garden where his big sister is. She, holding her 10-month-old son in a baby carrier, asks him to calm down. Enraged, the teenager shoots him in the chest.

Alerted by the shot, the eldest brother leaves the house with his own pistol. In retaliation, he shot his younger brother before fleeing. The 15-year-old was later arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder and tampering with evidence.
The 23-year-old was taken to hospital and died from her injuries. Your baby wasn't hurt. The younger brother, 14, is in a stable condition and will be taken into police custody after being released from hospital. He is charged with first-degree murder, child abuse and firearm possession.
