In Madonna and Kylie Minogues unlikely friendship as the Aussie

In Madonna and Kylie Minogue’s unlikely friendship… as the Aussie diva wishes the Queen Of Pop a ‘speedy recovery’ despite struggling with health

Throughout her decades of fame and controversy, Madonna has earned a reputation for her violent feuds with her pop peers.

She’s known to have wrestled with the likes of Cher, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, Janet Jackson, and Mariah Carey — among many, many others.

However, despite her strained relationships with certain celebs, there is one superstar that Madonna always has in her good books.

Australian diva Kylie Minogue has always showered Madonna with praise and recently wished the Queen Of Pop well after her shocking health crisis.

Madonna has responded, yelling at Kylie on stage and almost collaborating with her a few times.

Now that Madonna is recovering from her ICU stay with the support of fans like Kylie, looks back on their unlikely friendship…

B**** I’M MADONNA: The Queen of Pop at War

Madonna has garnered little affection from names like this, Cher, despite boasting an overlapping fan base for decades.

Cher appeared on the late Sir Terry Wogan’s show in 1991 and famously made no secret of her disdain for the younger pop act.

“She’s incredibly creative because she’s not incredibly talented, she’s not beautiful, but she’s rude,” Cher said mercilessly.

As recently as 2018, Cher appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and accused Madonna of being “mean” and acting “like a spoiled brat all the time.”

The older singer argued, “When you get the kind of recognition that she got — and you can do whatever you want — you should be a little bit more generous and a little less aggressive.”

Elton John called Madonna’s theme song for Die Another Day the “worst Bond song ever” and accused her of “lip-synching” on stage.

“Sorry but I think anyone doing lip syncing on stage in public when you pay like £75 to see them should be shot.” Thank you very much. That’s me from her Christmas card list, but don’t I care? No,” he said.

The comments went viral enough that her publicist retorted, “Madonna doesn’t lip-sync or spend her time slandering other artists.” “Elton John stays on her Christmas card list, whether he’s nice or naughty.”

When Madonna later turned down a request to sing at Elton’s bachelorette party, he was heard snipping at his guests, “Madonna the wretched cow wouldn’t do that.”

“Madonna wishes Elton well,” her rep said, “and hopes married life makes him a happier person.”

When Lady Gaga was widely accused of copying Madonna’s hit “Express Yourself” for her own song “Born This Way,” Madonna appeared on TV and responded to the comparison by slyly calling Gaga “reductive.”

When an interviewer years later attempted to make a connection between Gaga and Madonna’s origins, Gaga disagreed.

She remarked, “I play a lot of instruments and I write all my music myself.” I spend hours a day in the studio. I’m a producer, I’m a writer. What I do is different. “I don’t just rehearse over and over again to put together a show.”

Madonna has noted that she would rather “kill herself” than sing “silly” pop songs like Mariah Carey, while Janet Jackson has said the difference between her and Madonna is that “there’s class in what I do “.

Over the years, Madge has accused Gwen Stefani of “cheating on me,” to which Gwen replied, “But show me a girl my age who hasn’t been influenced by her.”

JUSTIFY MY LOVE: Kylie and Madonna

Madonna and Kylie Minogue, on the other hand, have frequently publicly expressed their affection for each other’s work.

Both blonde pop stars rose to fame in the 1980s, and Kylie eventually earned the title of ‘Princess of Pop’ – Madonna’s queen.

However, the rivalry between the two jet-setting divas never materialized as some observers might have expected.

In fact, Madonna even wore a Kylie Minogue t-shirt when she performed on stage at the 2000 MTV Europe Music Awards in Stockholm.

Years later, Kylie revealed that the admiration was mutual and shared that she had even begun to meet the Material Girl.

“I’m absolutely a huge Madonna fan,” she told Billboard in 2011. “I only met her briefly.” We have some mutual friends and a message will go back and forth. ‘She says hello’ or ‘I say hello.’ But how can you not love Madonna?’

Madonna was preparing for the release of her twelfth studio album MDNA at the time, leaving Kylie anxiously awaiting the results.

Kylie expressed her hope that Madonna will “make the courage” with MDNA. “I want her to be really, really good. “As a fan, I want great Madonna music.”

A few years later, in 2016, Madonna took to the stage during her Rebel Heart Tour in Australia and couldn’t help but cheer for Kylie.

“I love Kylie, wish she was here… Where are you Kylie?” asked Madonna as the audience went wild. “Come back Kylie, I just want to tear you free.”

SOONER OR LATER: Planning a duet?

With all the high spirits between Kylie and Madonna, her fans might have expected them to work on music together.

But in a recent interview on Watch What Happens Live, Kylie revealed that their previous attempts at collaboration had failed.

When Kylie appeared on the talk show last summer, she shared that she and Madonna almost ended up in the studio together “a couple of times,” “but it hasn’t quite happened yet.”

As far as Kylie is concerned, however, there is still the possibility of a duet with Madonna: “I would be ready, the level is high here.”

Just last month, Kylie gushed that she was “of course” open to singing with Madonna, who was then planning her Celebration World Tour.

During an interview with KTU Radio, Kylie remarked, “She goes on tour and, you know, I don’t have Madonna’s number, but if I was in town and she was in town, that would be great.” It would be — the building would likely to collapse. I mean it could be – we would have to send out warnings!’

She explained that “throughout my career” she has often been “asked” about the possibility of a musical collaboration with Madonna.

Kylie gushed about the Dick Tracy star, fondly recalling, “I was 16 and I was dancing to Madonna through my bedroom!”

In the same interview, Kylie said she was “super excited” about the prospect of Madonna’s tour — before an unforeseen turn of events threw a spanner in the works.

RESCUE ME: Madonna’s health crisis

Madonna’s Celebration Tour was scheduled to begin in mid-July with a North American leg that would tour over 20 cities across the United States and Canada.

However, this stage had to be postponed after Madonna’s health suddenly deteriorated and terrified her worldwide fan base.

She remained in intensive care for several days after contracting a “serious bacterial infection,” according to her supervisor.

A sensational report by Radar Online claimed she went into acute septic shock and was resuscitated with Narcan, which is normally used to treat drug overdoses.

Sepsis occurs when the body responds to infection by releasing chemicals that can cause serious organ dysfunction, sometimes fatal.

contacted Madonna representatives for comment.

The Celebration Tour now begins its European leg, which begins as originally scheduled on October 14th at London’s O2 Arena.

Last week, Madonna launched her Instagram to assure her fans that she would postpone the previously postponed dates.

“Thank you again for your incredible support and patience over the last few weeks!” Madonna teased. “I’m happy to announce that the changed tour schedule will be available in the next few days!”

Now, Madonna is on the road to recovery and has garnered plenty of support from her global fan base, including none other than Kylie.

Kylie told E! She wished Madonna a “speedy recovery” and added in solidarity: “I feel for her.”

She explained, “I feel sorry for everyone who’s on tour, but especially the women who’re on tour.” I think it’s just a little bit more work for us and it’s a huge drain on you as a whole. ”

The Melbourne-born songbird added, “I’ll definitely get my ticket and see Madonna when she’s back on tour.”
