Phoebe Philo was born in Levallois-Perret in 1973, studied at Central Saint Martins in London and graduated in 1996. She began her fashion career at Chloé as first assistant and then became artistic director of the French house in 2001. From 2008 to 2017, she moved to the artistic direction of Celine, offering pieces and accessories that would become cult: fur-lined mules and loose blouses, to name just a few.
