Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos was denied access to the Port Everglades marina in Florida because his 416-foot (127-meter) yacht was too large to anchor there, the Chron reports.

The world’s third-richest man learned this week that his massive pleasure boat could not be accommodated among other yachts because of its size.

The businessman therefore had to decide to anchor between cargo ships, oil tankers and cruise ships.

His yacht, named Koru, arrived in Florida on Wednesday after leaving Gibraltar two weeks earlier.

In addition to the $500 million (C$675 million) spent on purchasing this massive pleasure boat, Jeff Bezos spends around $25 million (C$34 million) annually to operate his yacht.
