In resurfaced snaps taken 28 years before she launched her trademark, Claudia Winkleman looks completely unrecognizable with her long blonde hair

She is known for her long dark bangs and often jokes that she hasn't seen her forehead in years.

But before the jet-back hair and fake tan, 51-year-old Claudia Winkleman looked completely different as she donned a gorgeous head of blonde curls.

In the unrecognizable snaps, the then 23-year-old presenter was stripped of her bangs as she wore her hair in a side part and swept her blonde hair to the side.

While the Strictly presenter is now known for her smudged black eyeliner and penchant for fake tan, her younger self looked more natural as she beamed in the 1995 snaps.

Claudia has spoken openly about her choice of fringe in the past, aptly calling her 2020 tour “Behind The Fringe.”

She previously explained her commitment to her hairstyle, joking that her signature bangs founded both her television career and her sex life.

During the tour, she said, “People ask, 'Have you always had bangs?' “And yes, I have,” she told the audience, quipping, “People ask what I'm hiding with my bangs – and it is a massive forehead that is repulsive.”

She also previously told Hello!: “I haven't seen my forehead for about 15 years.” “I don't even know what's under my bangs – there could be squirrels or parrots – I have no idea.”

Before adding, “But no, I can’t imagine ever getting rid of it.”

Claudia also revealed on her tour: “I was born with six extra teeth, like a little dinosaur.” When people saw me smile, they screamed.

“But when I was 21 and a virgin, I got my bangs and everything started happening.”

Claudia has also become known for her love of fake tan.

In a recent interview with Sheer Luxe, she said, “I'll use everything. 'I used Bisto granules, I used all the tea bags.'

She also admitted that her number one beauty rule is: “No way neat.”

“There are only three rules.” Orange. Black. “White,” she said, referring to her black eye makeup, orange tan and pale lips.

She previously said: “I like being orange. I think it's because I was born in 1972 and I'm an '80s kid, so everything was like an ultra glow,” she told the audience at her tour date on Monday night.

Although she has her signature style that has made her a fashion icon, the presenter added that she relies on a very influential fashion queen to guide her every day

“When you leave the house you just think, 'What would Kate Moss do?' If she was happy, then you can be happy.

“These are the things I want from you.” Great boots, thanks Kate, skinny jeans, thanks again Kate. “An oversized coat, Kate knows what she's doing,” she said.

As for her love of eyeliner, she advised, “If you put it on and think, 'That's enough,' you haven't even started yet.”
