Harrowing images from Poland’s incest horror house have revealed the dingy basement where depraved Piotr Gierasik allegedly threw his own daughter’s newborns to their deaths as they continued their four-year relationship.
54-year-old Piotr and 20-year-old Paulina Gierasik face life imprisonment for murder and incest after the remains of three young children were discovered last week at the property in the village of Czerniki in northern Poland.
Police had visited the property after receiving a worrying tip from social services, but while searching the property for evidence they discovered a foul stench coming from a cellar inside the house.
Upon further investigation, they made the horrific discovery – the rotting bodies of three children that had been thrown into the pitch-black pit.
Two of the babies were stuffed into plastic bags and buried in a shallow grave in the soft ground beneath the house. A third – probably another daughter of Piotr – was simply left to rot.
The inspectors had to make their way through a dank corridor held together roughly by cement and crumbling masonry before plunging into the darkness to make their grisly discovery.

Locals interviewed by local media said the father and daughter had a relationship for four years and “walked around hand in hand.”
Paulina’s colleagues in a pastry shop in the neighboring village of Stara Kiszewa have now told how her father “shaved her head so that other boys wouldn’t look at her” and that she looked up to him “as if he were God”.
The father and daughter, who allegedly “lived together like a couple,” were each accused of multiple counts of murder and one count of incest.
Paulina’s colleagues said they suspected she was pregnant after she started wearing baggy, loose-fitting clothes. She then took three weeks off, but returned a week later.
A store colleague told Super Express newspaper: “We all suspected she was pregnant. I think she had belts tied around her like some sort of corset.”

“When she came back from vacation earlier, the change was visible. She was much thinner, weaker and constantly tired.
“When we asked about the child, she acted surprised and said no.”
Another local told the newspaper Fakt: “They lived like a couple.” She called him Piotr by his first name. They walked around hand in hand.
“A few months ago he shaved her head so other boys wouldn’t look at her.
“She looked up to him like he was God.”
Regarding the previous arrests, Mariusz Duszyński of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Gdańsk said: “The woman was accused of two counts of murder and an incestuous relationship with her father.”

“The man was charged with three counts of murder, one count of incest with his 20-year-old daughter and one count of incestuous relations with another daughter.”
According to prosecutors, two of the murdered children came from his relationship with the 20-year-old, who was allegedly in a consensual relationship with their father.
The third baby came from a relationship he had with another daughter after forcing her to have sex.
Prosecutors added that they suspected him of killing the third baby.
Grażyna Wawryniuk from the District Prosecutor’s Office in Gdańsk told the Polish Press Agency: “The data from our system shows that cases of abuse of other family members have been conducted in recent years.”
“Proceedings on suspicion of incest had already been conducted before.
“All of these proceedings were discontinued at the prosecution stage because there was insufficient data to substantiate the suspicion.”
She added that prosecutors would now re-examine the evidence so far.
The grim discoveries came after police received a tip-off from social services. A work colleague of Paulina’s reportedly alerted social services after seeing a “disturbing” text message the 20-year-old sent to her father.
Piotr moved to the village about 15 years ago and had to raise his children after his wife died.

A family friend said that Piotr Gierasik, who lives on social benefits, beat his former wife.
The friend, described as a “loving and caring” mother, told Fakt newspaper that Hania, who died 15 years ago on September 18, was regularly abused by her husband.
The friend said: “She was a caring mother and a very good woman.”
“But he argued with her every day. The whole village could hear him screaming at them. Hania was regularly beaten.
“He had sex with his daughters when Hania was still alive, she was in no position to defend them.”
“She was never sick, but suddenly she lost weight, her hair fell out, she was rushed to the hospital and never came out alive, her death was never explained, I don’t think she just died like that, she was just 38 years old.”
“Hania was very important to her daughters; the children regularly visited her at the cemetery.”
A local told the Super Express newspaper: “The father was left alone with the children.”
“There are many, ten or twelve, the oldest ones are already gone.”
“Piotr made a good impression. The yard is neglected, but he has installed new windows in the house.
“There was no sign that he was drinking. He went for a walk with the children or went into the forest to pick mushrooms.
“Just normal people.” Who knew there were such abominations in their house?

But other locals told Fakt that while he “seemed calm,” he “had the devil under his skin.”
The small town of Czerniki – with fewer than 180 inhabitants, 50 km from Gdansk – has been accused of carrying out a “conspiracy of silence” about the allegedly well-known relationship between father and daughter.
Locals said they “always suspected something was wrong with the family.”
A neighbor said: “We often heard him shouting at the children.” His verbal abuse was shocking. Sometimes we heard one of the girls screaming.
“What people say now is that he used to walk with them.” Maybe he did, but the whole village knew that such a thing happened.
“It’s a small village, so everyone knew about these things.”
“About ten years ago the police were told that he had slept with one of his daughters. But after investigation, they couldn’t find any concrete evidence.
“The older daughter, who we suspected he had slept with, was so scared that she refused to say anything.”
‘He [the father] has such a personality that everyone in this village was afraid of him. That’s why this case hasn’t come up for so long.
“She later moved away, as did many of his other children. “There were about twelve of them.”

“She has a decent husband. As I remember, everyone said she ran away from that father.
“If I were her husband, I would kill that monster.” If someone hurt my wife like that, I would kill them too.
Police have so far discovered the remains of three babies buried in the family home.

Katarzyna Matyszczak, the manager of the pastry shop where Paulina worked, said: “Everyone was gossiping about it.”
“His youngest daughter Paulina is a beautiful girl. Everyone said she was pregnant. So I asked straight away.
“She denied it. One of her friends didn’t believe it. I won’t say who, but she was the one who informed the relevant authorities about the whole matter, suspecting that she had given birth.
Prosecutors are now waiting for an autopsy to determine how the three babies died. Meanwhile, police continue to search the property to determine if there are any more bodies hidden in the house.
Both the father and daughter are currently in custody while the investigation continues.
