A Phoenix, Arizona resident was left speechless last Thursday when a hot air balloon reportedly plowed into a light pole right in front of her home and then crashed into her home as she filmed the stunning scene.
“She was torn. She was torn. I do not know what to do. It's about to crash into my house, I'm right underneath it. Oh my God, oh my God, what am I doing?” Can we say the American Kara Giugliano in pictures that USA Today reported on X on Saturday?
Nine passengers were celebrating their birthdays aboard a hot air balloon in Phoenix on Thursday when the pilot reportedly realized he was running out of fuel. At that time, according to Fox News, he would have chosen an empty field next to a house to land.
But the wind would then have carried the balloon to a light pole, which would have torn its wall and redirected it toward the house, where Kara Giugliano was feeding her baby and marveling at the spectacle unfolding at her window.
“I'm used to seeing hot air balloons out my window, which is pretty cool. But this one was right outside. The basket was right on top of the lamppost,” she continued.
Fortunately, the giant balloon was able to land without further problems, while the nine shaken passengers escaped unharmed.
