Inclusion, Diversity and Equality signs World Summit of Women

The delegates and world leaders present chose to move beyond the confrontation between East and West in the debate on women’s rights and equality and called for promoting dialogue to achieve these goals.

They called for finding common ground to promote women leaders and counteract discriminatory policies regardless of differences, and some welcomed the definition of women’s quotas in certain areas.

Meanwhile, in another message, they stressed the need to increase investment in education so that they have their own space without asking for quotas and normalize their presence in each area.

During the discussions, the need to respect Eastern cultures and societies and to consider regional perspectives in the pursuit of gender equality was expressed.

Women’s leadership in building peace and social inclusion was the focus of debates at the meeting, organized by the Council of World Muslim Communities (TWMCC) and the General Union of Women of the United Arab Emirates (GWU), and celebrating the 100th anniversary These women’s existence was remembered as having preserved voting and suffrage in this Persian Gulf nation.

For two days, ministers, religious leaders, businesswomen, social activists, cultural figures and academics presented their presentations on the role of women in sustainability and the circular economy, their leadership in education, science and innovation, and their impact on diplomacy and world trends, arts, culture and sports.

The summit ended with a pledge from its participants to continue working across the board to achieve real gender equality in all areas.
