A woman went viral after loudly slurping down 48 oysters on a first date at a restaurant in Georgia.
The woman, who goes by the name EquanaB on TikTok, revealed in a video that she met her date at Fontaine’s Oyster House in Atlanta, where she then ordered four dozen oysters, which she loudly downed during dinner – and That’s where everything started going wrong.
While waiting for her date to come out of the bathroom, the woman was upset to learn that he had left the restaurant – apparently disgusted by her insatiable appetite for shellfish.
But while EquanaB was appalled by her date’s behavior, those who saw her video on TikTok were quick to accuse her of being in the wrong.
One user wrote on TikTok: “I don’t know what’s worse, the 48 oysters as a starter or the insane slurping and smacking.”

She met her date a few weeks earlier while out with friends and stated in her video that the man had been “texting her for weeks.”
“I was bored and had time, so he texts me: ‘Can we meet for a drink?'” she continued.
The woman initially wondered why she hadn’t blocked her future date and then entered the restaurant.
She explained, “They have the best damn oysters in Atlanta.”
The oysters at Fontaine’s Oyster House cost $15 a dozen every Tuesday, and then the two agreed to meet for a drink.
The majority of the video shows the women slurping the oysters after adding lemon and Tabasco.
She doesn’t show it on camera. She admits that her date gave her strange looks but that she “didn’t care.”
“I was like, ‘Baby, you invited me – I’m going out to eat,'” she explained.
After finishing the 48 oysters, the women ordered crab cakes and red-skinned potatoes, which were said to be “ten out of ten.”
Her date disagreed and after telling the woman he was going to the bathroom, he left and never came back.
She said: “It went by 10, 20, 30 minutes… I ended up having to grab the bill… That left me with his only damn drink left.”
The man eventually texted her: “I offered to take you out for a drink and you ordered all the food – I can charge the total amount for the drinks.”
As the woman slurped the oysters, she also added lemon and hot sauce

Restaurant manager Kelcey Flanagan told Rolling Stone she wasn’t surprised: “This is nothing new for us. “It was just pretty funny.”
“Two ladies ordered six dozen.” [oysters] every. That’s not even the icing on the cake – they drank white Russians.
“I have to say, it’s been a minute since I’ve seen a single woman eat this many…it’s pretty impressive.”
Even though the woman was stuck with the bill, large numbers of TikTok users are siding with her date.
One person said: “48 oysters for yourself is crazy.”
Another person said, “I’m here yelling because you ate the oysters and this man planned his escape.”
“I’m honestly glad he left because sitting across from you was probably a horrible sight,” one TikToker said.
On X, one user said, “Find him so we can hear his side.”
The woman posted another TikTok video after going viral in response to a comment about her $11 tip at the restaurant.
She said, “I left $11 cash.” [and] $15 on my card.”
The woman also admitted that she ended up paying for his drink. It is unclear whether they contacted each other again after the disastrous date.
