The second season of the Netflix series Indian Dating Agency began streaming on the platform on Wednesday. The show features the infamous matchmaker Sima Taparia alias Sima Tante helps her customers to find the perfect partner. However, in one of the episodes of the second season, Aunt Sima is seen voicing her opinion of an older woman marrying a younger man. She has claimed that the age difference between Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas is too much, adding that they “don’t fit well”.

In the second episode of the series, Ms. Taparia is seen chatting at the home of one of her clients, Nadia. During the conversation, Nadia’s mother sets the example of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, noting that the actor is 11 years older than her husband. Sima then voiced her opinion, saying, “I don’t think it’s a good match. sorry to say They got married, but it’s not a good match. He looks so small and petite in front of her, and she looks older.”

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas got married in 2018 and have a 10-year age difference. In early January, the couple took the next step in their relationship, welcoming their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas home after spending 100 days in intensive care. The couple chose surrogacy to give birth to their firstborn and have been delighted parents ever since.

Indian Matchmaking attracted a lot of attention when it debuted in 2020 due to the concept and focus on South Asian traditions. The show follows Mumbai-based Taparia’s quest to help Indian singles find potential life partners based on their “decades of experiences, insights and traditional methods”. In the new season, Ms. Taparia introduced viewers to some of her new clients – Viral Joshi, Shital Patel, Akshay Dhumal, Arshneel Singh and Vinesh.
