Earlier this week Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin traveled to New Delhi where he met Minister Rajnath Singh to strengthen industrial cooperation, according to military sources.

In a statement, India’s Defense Ministry said both officials had been exploring ways to build resilient supply chains.

During the meeting, new opportunities for joint development of technologies and systems and strengthening cooperation between the defense ecosystems of both countries were explored.

To achieve those goals, they have finalized a roadmap for US-India defense industrial cooperation, which will guide policy direction for years to come, the military body said.

They also welcomed the recently held opening dialogues focusing on artificial intelligence and space and discussed regional security issues.
