La Paz, Jan 25 (RHC) — Representatives of indigenous communities from Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Bolivia continued their deliberations Wednesday at the first meeting of the indigenous indigenous nations and peoples of the Andean region, being held in the capital La Paz under the Administration of latter country.
The delegates at the meeting will discuss, among other things, the topic of migration, the rights of Mother Earth, the fight against the climate crisis and the defense of democracy.
The meeting started the day before and will last until this Thursday. The President of the Bolivian Chamber of Deputies, Jerges Mercado, attended its inauguration.
The meeting aims to strengthen integration processes and promote cooperation and dialogue between the countries of the region, as well as greater understanding and solidarity between their indigenous peoples.

The President of the Andean Parliament, Gloria Flores Schneider, recognized that integration is essential to advance as peoples and to face planetary challenges that have major impacts on the region, such as climate change and migratory processes.
The supranational parliamentarians help to strengthen integration processes between peoples and communities as well as between states and governments.
