According to Ukrainian reports, more than ten people were injured in new Russian drone strikes in the Black Sea region of Odessa. In addition, eleven buildings were damaged, civil defense announced today. According to anti-aircraft defense in Kiev, the Air Force managed to shoot down a total of 42 of the 43 Russian drones. The Odessa region was therefore most affected by the attacks.
According to the Ministry of Defense in Moscow, Ukraine, which has been defending itself against the Russian war of aggression for almost two years, has once again started bombing areas of the neighboring country with drones. The Russian ministry reported that nine drones were shot down in the Moscow region and the Kaluga region. The information could not be verified by an independent body.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that two flying objects headed towards the Russian capital and were destroyed. There was no damage or injuries. According to authorities, an attack recently occurred in Moscow at the end of November.
Ukrainian secret service agent on Russia's wanted list
Meanwhile, Russian authorities have placed the head of the Ukrainian military intelligence service (HUR), Kyrylo Budanov, on their wanted list. The 37-year-old's name appeared today in a Russian Interior Ministry database of people wanted for criminal code violations.
Authorities did not provide any information about what they accused Budanov of. Budanov has headed the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense's military intelligence department since 2020. His influential agency has been blamed for several attacks against Russia since the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022.
