The Beckhams have made the most of what Miami has to offer while spending their summers in sun-soaked Florida after purchasing a lavish penthouse.

David, who founded his football club Inter Miami three years ago and recently signed Lionel Messi, has made sure his family’s extended time in the city is well spent.

The 48-year-old athlete is said to have bought the building at the top of the 59th floor of the One Thousand Museum, which at 62 floors and a height of 215m is one of the tallest buildings in the city of Florida, for £17.15million.

It features Miami’s first private helipad, five bedrooms, floor to ceiling windows and spacious balconies overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Victoria, 49, has shared a glimpse of her home away from home, sharing photos from her incredible dressing room and gym, and it’s every bit as luxurious as fans would expect.

Where is the Beckhams’ penthouse?

In the heart of Miami, among the soaring skyscrapers that loom over Biscayne Bay, the striking luxury condominium building designed by the late star architect Zaha Hadid dominates the skyline.

The One Thousand Museum building’s unique curved “exoskeleton” design has caused quite a stir and is the only living space in downtown Miami with a helipad.

The building also pays homage to the legacy of the Iraqi-British architect, who died in Miami in 2016 at the age of 65 while the One Thousand Museum’s 62-story tower was being built to about the eighth floor.

“We felt an obligation to make sure we got this particular project right because Miami was her second home,” said Chris Lepine, who took over the management of the $300 million project after her death.

The building houses 82 separate units, a resident sky lounge, aquatic center, infinity pool, 24-hour security and a private cinema.

More quirky features include custom “scenting” of common areas, fresh flower delivery, and event planning services.

Completion was in 2019. According to Miami Luxury Homes, the average price for one of the apartments was $11 million.

When did you buy it and how much did it cost?

The residence, now thought to be worth £22.6million after the Beckhams bought it for £17.15million, is part of David and former Spice Girl Victoria’s £73million global property portfolio.

David reportedly mortgaged the house for £10million three years ago.

The former footballer is said to be paying back more than £40,000 a month, with the tax-inclusive repayment being raised to nearly £48,000.

According to The Sun, he bought real estate through his company, Beckham Brand Ltd, when he started his football club, Inter Miami.

The penthouse is used as a base for the family when David works for his soccer team Inter Miami, their eldest child Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz also live in the US allowing the family to spend time together.
