Insiders reveal that Jim Biden used his brother's name and his White House connections to promote a rural health care provider – and land jobs for three Biden family members who are now facing charges in a $100 Medicare fraud case Millions of US dollars are charged

Jim Biden used his brother's name and White House connections to support a rural health care provider that provided jobs for three Biden family members, insiders revealed.

An email obtained by Politico from a person close to Americore, a health care company indicted in a $100 million Medicare fraud case, revealed that Jim used his brother's influence as vice president, to move the company forward.

Jim worked as a consultant for Americore in 2017 after his brother served as vice president for eight years.

Former Americore executives also told Politico that Jim had also planned to add Joe to the board and suggested that his brother could promote the company in a future presidential election, the report said.

Sources also said Jim used his relationship with his older brother to make deals and drum up publicity that rewarded the company with money for drug rehabilitation, cancer treatments and lab testing.

The shocking report is the latest to accuse the Biden family of inappropriate behavior. It comes as the president faces an impeachment inquiry into the family's business dealings.

In response to the allegations and findings, a spokesperson for the president told Politico that they are “unable to participate in this story at this time.”

Politico further reported that Jim offered to secure funding from investors in the Middle East to finance Americore's expansion.

The expected funds did not arrive, leading to the collapse of the healthcare company, leaving bills unpaid and patients untreated. The company also remains under investigation as it is accused of $100 million in Medicare fraud.

At least three of the president's relatives were also employed at Americore, including Jim's wife Sara and son Jamie, Politico reported.

Hunter Biden also reportedly met with the company's CEO and his personal physician, Kevin O'Connor. According to documents reviewed by Politico, the two attended a meeting with Jim and the hospital's president.

It is unclear what role the family members played in the company, as none of them answered questions on the topic. The White House also did not respond for comment, Politico said.

Jim's attorney, Paul Fishman, said in a statement that his client “conducted himself ethically and honorably in all of his business dealings.” Jim has not been accused of any criminal wrongdoing.

Americore imploded in 2019 and filed for bankruptcy amid a series of lawsuits and a federal investigation into fraud allegations. Americore also accused Jim Biden of failing to repay $600,000 in loans.

According to Politico, the investigation did not find that the president was directly involved in the fraud, but rather “indirectly benefited from his brother's work for the company.”

The outlet further said that Jim wrote a check to his brother Joe on the same day he received a $200,000 Ameicore payment.

In response, the White House said the check was intended to pay off a loan, but did not respond to questions about whether the president knew about his brother's earnings from the company or the details of the loan payment in question.

“I was told that Americore would be the savior of rural hospitals,” a former executive told Politico.

“The whole thing was a scam and it didn’t take long to find out.”

Last year, Jim paid Americore back $350,000 to settle the lawsuit – even though his lawyers said he played no role in the company's demise and received the money for consulting work, not loans, as Americore trustee Carol Fox claimed as trustee .

According to a source familiar with the interview, Fox did not identify any services James provided to Americore – and that Americore gave him a “loan” without documentation in return for a commitment to financing from the Middle East that never came.

A patient at one of the company's hospitals in southern Kentucky died of cardiac arrest in 2018 after staffing and medical supplies declined due to the alleged scheme, Politico reported.

Employees at that hospital were also found to have lost their health insurance after Americore suddenly stopped paying benefits, Politico noted.

The Justice Department then found that Ellwood City Hospital in Pennsylvania, under Americore's management, had entered into multiple service contracts and paid kickbacks related to “medically unnecessary laboratory tests” the hospital performed, according to Politico.

Documents also show that Jim helped the company get medical approval to build the hospital in Pennsylvania. The email reviewed by Politico also revealed that Jim had fired the medical company's CFO.

Republicans leading the investigation into the Biden family's “influence scheme” that is at the heart of their impeachment inquiry into the president say this personal review directly shows that Joe was aware of and involved in his family's business dealings.
